On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services (OPRS)

To cater to the diverse learning needs of young children, our school collaborates with the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui to provide on-campus early childhood rehabilitation services. The program is designed to offer comprehensive and timely support to students with varying degrees of special needs through a multidisciplinary service team and a school-based integrated model. The Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui regularly invites special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and others to provide training in different areas for the children on campus. Following the training, discussions are held with class teachers to coordinate the children's learning progress. Additionally, the multidisciplinary service team from Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui and our school teachers communicate with parents based on the children's developmental status, enhancing home-school cooperation to assist in the children's daily learning. Our school also provides professional advice to parents and refers them to specialized assessment services if needed.

Support for Non-Chinese Students

Our school integrates Chinese elements into the environment and teaching materials to inspire non-Chinese speaking students to learn Chinese, address their language difficulties, enhance their motivation and interest in learning, and foster self-esteem and confidence. Additionally, our school provides English notices for non-Chinese-speaking parents. Other support details are as follows:

- Our school employs teachers who are experienced in instructing non-Chinese speaking students.

- Responses on our school website, phone calls, and emails can be provided in English to assist non-Chinese speaking parents with inquiries.

- Support includes providing appropriate community information for non-Chinese speaking students:

The Centre for Harmony and Enhancement of Ethnic Minority Residents (CHEER) is one of the government-funded support centres for ethnic minorities in Hong Kong. It offers not only convenient translation and interpretation services but also a wide variety of exciting activities to engage and inspire.

New Student Adaptation

To help new preschool students adapt to school life as quickly as possible, our school adopts a gradual class schedule and invites parents to accompany their children in school activities. This allows the children to familiarize themselves with the campus environment and teachers in a secure setting, increasing their sense of belonging to the school and enabling them to participate actively in campus community life as soon as possible.

On-Site Social Work Services

Our school collaborates with the "Graceful Kids - Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions" from the Hong Kong Catholic Marriage Advisory Council to provide on-site social work services for students and parents.
