Course-introduction
Our kindergarten established in 2001. We are the sixth kindergarten under the authority of Lok Sin Tong and its management from the Academic Affairs Committee. The committee supervise our administration and teaching direction. Adhere the goal of Lok Sin Tong, our kindergarten plans courses and organizes activities according to students needs and conditions, so that our students can enjoy educational achievements. Meanwhile, we make full use of the resources to formulate development directions and plans. We keep up with the times and provide high-quality educational services for the society.
Under a language-rich environment, our school would like to stimulate children to develop good language ability and create learning opportunities.
Biliterate and trilingual teaching: Chinese, English / Cantonese, English and Putonghua
Foreign teachers: Teachers who teach English and Mandarin are from overseas and have professional qualifications
High Scope Learning: Under High Scope Learning, we use different activities and let children plan, discover learning fun and review. As child-cantered, we would like to inspire their interest in learning.
The features of our school's curriculum are as follows:
English Learning: We implement bilingual classes (English and Cantonese) and emphasize children's English development. Daily English learning activities are provided to increase children's exposure to English teachers, fostering their listening and speaking skills in English.
Exploratory Learning: Through observation, exploration, hands-on activities, verification, and sharing, we cultivate children's ability to learn independently, enhance their interest in learning, and develop their creativity and problem-solving skills.
Kimochis Social-Emotional Education: Using Kimochis characters that represent different emotions, children learn about various emotions through stories, drama, and extended activities. They are taught appropriate ways to manage and express their emotions.
Picture Book Learning: By using various Chinese and English picture books, we spark children's interest in learning. Stories are used to teach knowledge, social skills, and proper attitudes, fostering a love for reading from an early age.
Orff Music Teaching: Utilizing musical pieces, we introduce children to different musical concepts and rhythms. Through engaging and lively activities, we nurture their interest in music.
